Account and data deletion
Delete your AnimalDex account
You can permanently delete your account and the personal data associated with it either from the app or by contacting Over Tech Apps.
Option 1
Delete your account in the app
- Open AnimalDex and sign in to your account.
- Open the Profile tab.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion.
For security, the app may ask you to sign in again before completing the request. Account deletion starts after confirmation. Associated server data is cleaned up asynchronously, with retries if a service is temporarily unavailable.
Option 2
Request deletion without the app
Email Over Tech Apps from the address linked to your account. Include the app name and clearly state that you want your account and associated data deleted.

Requests submitted by email are processed within 30 days after account ownership
has been verified.
Data that will be deleted
- Your authentication account and user identifier.
- Your email address and profile name.
- Your explorer profile, avatar, XP, badges, and showcase.
- Your saved animal captures, photos, and capture locations associated with your account.
- Your friend code, friend requests, and friendships.
Data that may be retained
A restricted marker containing the former account identifier and deletion time is retained to prevent delayed requests from recreating deleted account data. New Android versions keep private links that allow their World map pins to be removed with the account. Older World pins cannot reliably be matched to an account and expire 30 days after capture, with additional time for server cleanup. Standard operational logs are kept for 30 days and required audit logs for 400 days. Store and RevenueCat transaction records may be retained for purchase validation, restoration, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Contact us for related data requests. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription; cancel it separately in the store where you purchased it.
